Bob Dylan 2027 show speculation runs rampant as fans call for veteran performer to continue Never-Ending Tour

With a run of shows in Europe and the United Kingdom taking Bob Dylan back on the road, fans are already wondering if he will tour in 2027.

Dylan has performed a string of shows every year since 1988, excluding 2020, and fans have every hope that he continues performing to audiences across the world. A North American tour earlier this year saw Dylan perform songs like I Shall Be Released and Man in the Long Black Coat for the first time in over a decade. Whether he continues on the road is yet to be seen, but fans hope Dylan isn’t far off announcing a 2027 tour.

Fans flocked to the r/BobDylan subreddit to share their thoughts on what could be a huge tour for the veteran songwriter. One forum user asked: “How likely will Dylan tour in 2027? Title says it all; considering his age and health, I would like to see him since I missed him in Philly.”

Most are convinced that Dylan will be back on the road before long, even without any official tour announcement or indication from Dylan’s team that he will appear for further performances. One fan explained: “For the last 20 or more years I’ve said, ‘This could be my last chance to see him!’ And it never is. He will tour again.”

Another added that, given Dylan has toured extensively every year from 2022 onwards, the chances of him touring again is inevitable for 2027. They wrote: “Of course he’ll tour, the question is which pattern of touring will he take? He’s been pretty predictable in the past.

“2022 – Spring: US Southwest/Southeast. Summer: US West. Fall: Europe
2023 – Spring: Japan. Summer: Southern Europe. Fall: US Upper Midwest/Northeast/East
2024 – Spring: US South. Summer: Outlaw Tour. Fall: Europe
2025 – Spring: US Midwest/West. Summer: Outlaw Tour. Fall: Europe
2026 – Spring: Upper Midwest/Southeast/Southwest. Summer: West/Southwest/Midwest/East. Fall: Europe

“Hopefully you can see a pattern here. He tends to cover most of the US over a 2-3 year cycle, visits Europe pretty much every year, does a different tour in the summer from the spring and fall. Very occasionally he plays somewhere else, like Japan, although those days might be in the past.

“Because 2026 was such an all-over-the-place year for touring, it’s hard to predict exactly where he’ll hit in the spring of 2026, but it will most likely be an extensive tour of mid-size indoor theater venues, followed by an outdoor tour in summer, probably with an opening act or two, and then he’ll go back to Europe in the fall. Of course, he could decide to play Mongolia, Egypt and Peoria, Illinois and call it a year. But I doubt it.”

A third added: “I believe it’s safe to say that he’ll tour ’till the day he dies or he has a severe health impediment; we all hope that neither of these things will happen soon.” While tour dates are yet to be announced for 2027, some fans believe they are in the works but will not be announced until much closer to the date of the possible shows.

A fan explained: “He probably has every intention to do a tour next year. But due to his age, they typically don’t book the dates until a few weeks/months before it’s announced. At this stage, you can’t make the assumption and neither can he.” Another added: “100%. He will tour until he dies.”
