Bob Dylan has had a busier week than usual, meeting with Pope Leo XIV in-between tour dates in Italy.
The veteran songwriter has been travelling around Europe on his Lights of Autumn tour, where Dylan has performed the likes of Million Miles, High Water (For Charley Patton), and Down in the Flood. The songs listed had been performed rarely by Dylan, if ever, on his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, which concluded earlier this year. While the legendary performer is still playing a few songs from Rough and Rowdy Ways, the setlist has dropped more than a few of his 2020 album tracks in favour of deep cuts and rarities that hadn’t been performed in some time. Tangled Up in Blue has returned to the setlist and remains a staple, while the likes of Love Sick and Tryin’ to Get to Heaven have also featured.
A full setlist for Dylan’s show at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, Italy, can be found below.

Last month, Dylan brought out a performance of Million Miles, a rarity from Time Out of Mind that had hardly been performed since its release in 1997. It has since featured in many of the Lights of Autumn shows.
Dylan has been changing his setlist slightly from show to show, with the likes of Blind Willie McTell, Tangled Up in Blue, Girl From the North Country, and Spirit on the Water debuting this year. Dylan will play further dates in Belgium (which Cult Following will be covering), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (also covered by Cult Following).
Fans would have to cast their mind back a little for the last rendition of Girl from the North Country, a classic from Dylan’s discography. The song’s performance tonight is the first since Dylan performed at The Anthem in Washington D.C. back in December 2019. The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan cut would feature as a Johnny Cash collaboration on Dylan’s Nashville Skyline album in 1969. Dylan has performed the song 590 times since 1963.
Every Grain of Sand will be a familiar inclusion for those who have caught Dylan’s recent Rough and Rowdy Ways tour and this current Lights of Autumn run. Dylan has performed the song 291 times over the last five years, with 39 of those performances from the 2026 tour.
Dylan’s European and UK tour continues on November 5 in Rome, Italy, which will be followed by his final Italian date of the year on November 7 in Bologna. Further dates in Europe and the UK are set to follow.
