A choice between Partial Eclipse and Background Noise had Pulp fans opt for the latter More track as part of the band’s 21-song set in France. A performance at the Théâtre Antique de Fourvière, Lyon, France from the Jarvis Cocker-fronted band featured performances of The Fear, Spike Island, and Common People.
Those at the show report hearing Separations rarity Death II on the soundcheck though the song did not make it into the set. Instead, the band opted for two potential More tracks, with the audience choosing during a 20-minute intermission which followed a performance of Sunrise. The band is set to perform at Mad Cool Festival on July 11, before a show at the Southbank Centre in London, England, on July 18.

Got to Have Love was listed on the setlist as a song that would have been scrapped had the band run out of time towards the end of the show. Théâtre Antique de Fourvière is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest outdoor Roman venue in France. The show follows on from a staggering show where the band performed Don’t You Want Me Anymore, as well as She’s a Lady and Have You Seen Her Lately. It marked the first time Pulp has performed any of the three songs since their first reunion tour in 2012.
The 2012 reunion show, according to Mark Webber, was where the band were happy to leave things for good. But Cocker had hoped to front the band again for a series of headline shows.
Webber, speaking to Cult Following back in July 2025, said he did not believe the band would ever get back together after their successful reunion tour performances in 2011 and 2012. The guitarist, who released the book I’m With Pulp, Are You? to rave reviews, said: “I was going through boxes in the spare room, and I came across all this Pulp stuff, which I hadn’t looked at for years, because obviously the group hadn’t been active for a while.
“I started to go through it, and it had been so long that I was discovering things that I’d forgotten I had, photos that I wasn’t sure where they were taken or what was going on. It just seemed kind of interesting. At this point, there was no suggestion that we would get back together again. I mean, I thought Pulp was finished at that point.
“I rediscovered all this stuff and then through a mutual friend, the publisher at Hat and Beard got in touch with me because he was thinking of doing a book about Pulp. But he wanted to do a book about the Different Class album.”
