The Beatles fans left floored by Ringo Starr’s on-stage habit as veteran rocker prepares for tour

Fans of the legendary rock band The Beatles were stunned to see Ringo Starr‘s on-stage style.

The drummer, 85, is currently touring across North America with The All Starr band, which includes Colin Hay from Men at Work and members of Toto. The ensemble covers The Beatles, Carl Perkins, and Starr’s solo material, with the Goodnight Vienna mastermind playing drums and fronting the band at various parts of the show. But it’s a video of the previous tour making the rounds that has delighted fans who were quick to note the energy Starr has when on stage. Starr, who turns 86 next month, has left fans thrilled with his energetic performances. A clip from his tour in 2025 was praised by members of the public.

The post to X reads: “Ringo Starr is 85 years old, let that sink in.” Starr can be seen bouncing around the stage and jumping to the beat of the song. Fans were stunned by the energy of the 85-year-old and believe it shows Starr at his very best. A dancing Starr can be seen doing jumping jacks and clapping along with the band’s rendition of With a Little Help from My Friends.

The Beatles track from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band has appeared in most of Starr’s shows to date and is a staple of the Fab Four’s discography.

One fan wrote: “Yet another one who doesn’t look or act his age.” Another added: “He can move like that at 85 because of those little jumping jacks.” A third shared: “Eat that Jagger!”

Others believe the energy Starr shows on stage is what keeps him youthful. A fan shared: “There’s something about being joyful and positive that gives one longevity.” Praise for Starr comes as he continues his tour of North America, just a short while after releasing his new album, Long Long Road.

In a four-star review of the album posted to Cult Following, Starr was praised for finding a route through country music that proved both original and respectful of the source material. It reads: “Charming reflection is the key to Long Long Road, and Starr offers up plenty of that throughout this latest album. For an artist who is constantly sidelined as the so-called fun one of The Beatles, there’s an emotional maturity to the likes of She’s Gone that Starr hasn’t touched since the days of The No-No Song

“A harmony that’d put The Beach Boys on alert for the final, title track, is a bold move too. Starr turns into a self-help guru in the final moments of Long Long Road. Let those thoughts in, he says, invite the darkness to the vulnerable spots of your mind and beat it into place with peace and love. Strong stuff from Starr. He has finally made good on his love of country music.”
