What Pulp played during second-ever Mexico City show as Jarvis Cocker-fronted group set to play South America

Pulp’s second-ever show in Mexico City had the band perform a song that would later feature on their 2025 album, More.

The Jarvis Cocker-fronted group will return to South America for a brief tour this year, three years on from the last time they performed there. Pulp played a fourteen-song set at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez venue, with the likes of Common People, Disco 2000, and Something Changed all appearing. A song which would later feature on More, Background Noise, made its debut at the show too. Cocker dedicated the song to his girlfriend, now wife, during a performance that would give attendees the second tease of songs featuring on their first album in twenty-four years. The first time this happened was at the band’s second homecoming show in Sheffield, where a second encore featured The Hymn of the North.

A full setlist for Pulp’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez show in Mexico can be found below.

An earlier performance, and Pulp’s first in Mexico City, saw the band perform Little Girl With Blue Eyes for the first time since 2002. It has so far not appeared on the band’s Encore or More setlist. The likes of O.U. (Gone, Gone) and Help the Aged were also performed on the group’s April 23, 2012 date. Both songs have since become setlist staples on the More tour.

The band had to cancel one of their South American tour dates, with a post to the band’s Instagram account confirming refunds would be given out to those who were set to attend the now-cancelled show.

It reads: “Important announcement. Pulp’s concert in Bogotá at the Movistar Arena, scheduled for 6 June 2026, has been cancelled. We send our love and apologies to all Pulp fans in Colombia, & to those from elsewhere that were planning to travel to this concert. We are very sorry for all the disappointment & inconveniences this will cause.

“Ticket holders can request a full refund through the official channels at Tuboleta.com. The rest of our Latin American tour will go ahead as planned & we look forward to seeing you in Mexico, Chile and Argentina. With love from, Pulp.”

While the band has performed in South America before, the group had never played a show in Bogotá, and it looks as though fans will have to wait a little longer for such a show, should it ever materialise. Shows in Mexico, Chile, and Argentina will go ahead as planned, with the band last performing in South America back in 2023, shortly after reforming for the Encore tour.
