Bruce Springsteen could tour again this year as fans say more dates ‘can’t be ruled out’

Fans of the legendary musician Bruce Springsteen are wondering when he will return to the stage for another tour.

Despite only just wrapping up his North American leg of the Land of Hope and Dreams tour, fans want The Boss back on stage. Two further performances from Springsteen as part of the Music America: The Songs That Shaped Us will be followed by a Power to the People festival appearance in October. Aside from the upcoming festival show, Springsteen has no tour dates in the calendar at the time of writing. Fans are hopeful of seeing The Boss back on stage but admit it may be a little while longer before we see him touring, be it by himself or with The E Street Band.

Fans took to the r/BruceSpringsteen subreddit to speculate on whether or not The Boss would be back on the road before the end of the year. A gig-goer asked: “I went to several 2026 dates and…. I want another announcement! Any thoughts/rumours? I’m new to Springsteen tours, so is there a pattern he follows?”

Fans believe further shows this year would be out of the question, but that next year could prove fruitful for fans of The Boss. One gig-goer wrote: “I doubt we’ll see more shows this year, but who knows? This tour was thrown together very suddenly.”

One person replied: “I doubt we’ll see more shows this year, but who knows? This tour was thrown together very suddenly.” Another agreed, adding: “I doubt he’ll tour again this year, but it can’t be ruled out. I assume there will be an album released later this year as he’s apparently got a couple of them in the can.

“It would not surprise me if he did another small tour next year. I think that’ll be the pattern moving forward. No more two or three-year tours, but a more limited tour that lasts three or four months every year or two.”

Others believe The Boss will not be back on the road for over a year as they outline what may be a break from the stage in 2027. A fan speculated: “My guess, no more shows this year, and he will take next year off, but maybe 2028? He’s been playing since 2023, plus broadway before that, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he took a year off from touring.

“After he toured from 2007-2009, he didn’t tour again until 2012, then did 2012-2014, then a year off before The River 2016 – 2017 tour. I’m thinking he will follow a similar pattern. I think I read somewhere once there were talks for a 2020 tour, for the Letter to You album, but Covid cancelled that.”

Another agreed, adding: “He said that they’ll tour less dates but more often. Honestly, a fifth year of touring seems hard, but you never know. Hope with all my heart to get him again in Europe.” A third suggested that if a tour were to come around so soon after the Land of Hope and Dreams tour, it would be a solo Springsteen performance.

“I think Bruce would love to do another tour, but it has to be getting more and more difficult to get everyone from the ESB to agree to tour more,” a fan theorised.

Another added: “No. It’s over. This was a pop-up tour for a very single reason. No new album, no new second legs. Enjoy your summer.”
