Bruce Springsteen’s hometown show on the Land of Hope and Dreams tour featured a rare cover and plenty of hits.
The Boss has been touring since last month and will conclude his North American tour in May. Featured in each of the shows has been a collection of hits, covers, and guest appearances from Rage Against the Machine guitarist, Tom Morello. Springsteen‘s set has made room for lesser-known songs from his discography and other hits like Dancing in the Dark, Born to Run, and The Ghost of Tom Joad. Springsteen’s tour has alsso featured new song, Streets of Minneapolis, which he released shortly after the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. The two civilians were shot and killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents earlier this year, prompting widespread protest and condemnation.

Springsteen has performed Clampdown, a cover of The Clash, only a handful of times in his career. The Land of Hope and Dreams tour has featured the song as part of Springsteen’s set more than any other tour to date. Chimes of Freedom, a cover of Bob Dylan, also featured on this tour as it did on the European run of shows last year.
Springsteen and The E Street band are set to tour across the US between April and May, with dates in Arizona, New York, and Boston to come. In a statement issued in February, Springsteen shared the reason behind touring in the US at such a fraught political time. He said: “We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming!
