The Cure delighted attendees of this year’s Rock Werchter festival with a 29-song setlist featuring some of their greatest hits. The Robert Smith-fronted group will continue their European tour this month and next after previous headline spots in Cardiff and Barcelona. The Cure featured songs like Fascination Street, A Night Like This, and Mint Car in a massive setlist which also included some of their greatest hits.
The Cure will perform a show in Wythenshawe Park in Manchester, England, at the end of next month and the band has several other headline dates in the lead-up to that performance. A headline slot at Rock Werchter saw the band play a mammoth set with songs from their self-titled album, Wild Mood Swings, and Japanese Whispers. No tracks from their most recent album, Songs of a Lost World, were featured.

Those who attended the show have since shared their praise online. One person wrote: “Fucking hell, that was good. You were all beautiful. Robert sang his heart out, what a magical evening.”
Another added: “Absolutely incredible. I’m a big Disintegration head (who isn’t?) and opening with Plainsong was transcendent — to then get Prayers for Rain and Disintegration as well (not always on the setlist as far as I know) felt like divine intervention. What a wonderful night. I’m still buzzing.
“I’m also so glad they’re playing The Last Day of Summer on this tour — an emotional one for me, and it was incredible to hear live. The last time I saw them was on a snowy night in London in December 2022. To pick back up on the hottest day of the year felt very full-circle. Kismet!”
A third shared: “My first time ever seeing them and, even though I knew they would be good live, I was just blown away. Pretty much flawless throughout and HOW he still has that voice at his age is incredible. Burn was the highlight for me, being my favourite of the cure’s work, but they nailed every damn song. Incredible night!”
The Cure will continue their European tour dates across the summer. The band is set to play a headline slot at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester in August. Smith and the band also headlined Primavera Sound 2026, where the veteran frontman could be seen tearing up as he led the band in a huge show.
