Gorillaz are continuing their tour of The Mountain just a day after a fallout with Uncle Acid Band. The group fumed at Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn, dubbing him a “pop diva” for getting their Rokslide Festival show scrapped early. Fans and attendees rushed to the defence of Albarn and Gorillaz following a 25-minute set from Uncle Acid Band that was so loud it could be heard on the main stage where the Feel Good Inc. hitmakers were performing.
One person took to X and joked: “Unfortunately have to side with Gorillaz (if this is even true) because Uncle Acid are the most boring band I’ve seen in the last, ooh, ten years at least.” A clip of Albarn addressing the Uncle Acid Band’s noise was also shared, though the Gorillaz frontman didn’t seem to care. He said from the Rokslide stage: “I think everyone should be playing music individually, you know what I mean?”
Gorillaz would go on to perform their show and have since played at Luxexpo Open Air 2026 in a slot that featured 19 tracks, many of which are from The Mountain. A full setlist from their show can be found below.

The Rokslide show that annoyed Uncle Acid Band was followed up by a Rock Werchter performance where Gorillaz added a rare Plastic Beach track to their setlist. To Binge would feature frequently on the band’s 2010 tour, but has been all but dropped since the Plastic Beach release. A rare performance of the song occurred last night, with a 20-song set at the Belgium-based festival.
Albarn and the band reportedly soundchecked Every Planet We Reach is Dead, Hong Kong, and The Lost Chord also. These songs did not make it onto the final set but it does appear the band is optioning them for future shows.

Gorillaz bassist Seye Adelekan previously praised Albarn and illustrator Jamie Hewlett for their work on The Mountain. He wrote on Facebook: “Gorillaz UK tour is done. It has been such a joy bringing not only the music of The Mountain and a whole host of other GZ classics but to be a gang of Humanz that represent so many different languages, ages, nationalities, faiths, musical styles, gender expressions and skills. What Damon and Jamie have built both in the music and the art represent something the world sorely needs right now… Unity. An army for peace. I love this family and this music. I can’t wait for the summer.”
