Gorillaz performed much of their latest album, The Mountain, along with a series of deep cuts and classic songs during their show in Italy.
The Damon Albarn-fronted group appeared in a headline slot at La Prima Estate, where special guests Kara Jackson and Yasiin Bey were on hand to perform with Gorillaz. Much of The Mountain has featured in the band’s setlist over their UK and Ireland tour. This appears to be the case for their European tour dates too as the band performed the likes of Orange County, The Happy Dictator, and Delirium. Albarn and the band will perform across Europe this summer before a series of shows in the United States. Gorillaz will also perform two shows in India for 2027.

Gorillaz bassist Seye Adelekan previously praised Albarn and illustrator Jamie Hewlett for their work on The Mountain. He wrote on Facebook: “Gorillaz UK tour is done. It has been such a joy bringing not only the music of The Mountain and a whole host of other GZ classics but to be a gang of Humanz that represent so many different languages, ages, nationalities, faiths, musical styles, gender expressions and skills. What Damon and Jamie have built both in the music and the art represent something the world sorely needs right now… Unity. An army for peace. I love this family and this music. I can’t wait for the summer.”
The Damon Albarn-fronted group performed two shows at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, to conclude the UK and Ireland leg of the tour. The band featured a song they have performed just twice this year on their final UK and Ireland date.
The Mountain was performed almost entirely on this tour, with hits and deep cuts from Gorillaz‘s discography also added to the setlist.
Trueno and Sparks opened for the Damon Albarn-fronted group at their huge London show, which will likely be their last UK show of the year. Whether Gorillaz return to the UK is yet to be seen but the band, which has toured The Mountain since March of this year, pulled out all the stops at their show on June 20. Guest spots for Shaun Ryder, Johnny Marr, and Little Simz marked a huge occasion for the band which featured some of their very best works and most of the tracks featured on their latest studio album.
Songs from Plastic Beach and Demon Days were debuted for the first time on this tour, with Ryder’s guestlist spot confirming to fans before the show that Gorillaz would perform Dare. The hit song did feature in the encore of the show, which also made room for the Marr and Paul Simonon-featuring Plastic Beach.
