Bruce Springsteen has covered some of the United States’ finest songwriters on the second night of his America Music show.
The Boss brought out Rosanne Cash at his previous performance, but this time took to the stage alone to cover The Band, Bob Dylan, and Elvis Presley. Springsteen performed a total of seven songs and was joined by The E Street Band guitarist, Stevie Van Zandt, for the penultimate track. The pair have recently finished their Land of Hope and Dreams tour, a tour which took Springsteen, The E Street Band, and Tom Morello across North America. Sheryl Crow and Gary Clark Jr. were also on hand to help Springsteen with covers of I Shall Be Released and Further On Up the Road.

Springsteen had not played When the Saints Go Marching In since 2014. It marks one of the many cover songs he has played in concert over the last year. At a show in Minneapolis to kickstart the Land of Hope and Dreams tour, Springsteen performed a cover of Prince’s Purple Rain and Bob Dylan’s Chimes of Freedom.
The latter song featured in all of the Land of Hope and Dreams shows on the North American tour and was eventually joined by a cover of The Clash’s Clampdown. Springsteen has covered the legendary rock band before, once playing London Calling as an opening song for his show at Hyde Park in London.
Springsteen’s 2026 North American tour came to a close earlier this month, with fans praising The Boss for one of his best performances to date.
