Motörhead announce new album, Killed By Deaf, featuring The Damned and Anti-Nowhere League

Motörhead has confirmed new album, Killed By Deaf, will be released later this year.

The group has remained somewhat active since the death of bass player and vocalist Lemmy. Though Motörhead has not toured since 2015, archival tapes are released somewhat frequently. A Motörhead tribute album, Killed By Deaf, will be released on October 31. The album features covers of the very best of the band’s work, including Ace of Spades, Over the Top, and Iron Fist. Confirming the album earlier today, a statement released by Motörhead appeared alongside the release of Neat, Neat, Neat. The cover features members of Motörhead and The Damned, who are joined on the album by the likes of Soldiers of Destruction and Anti-Nowhere League.

The album is now available to pre-order in LP, CD, and digital forms. A tracklist for the album can be found below.

  • Pennywise – Ace of Spades
  • Rancid – Sex & Death
  • The Bronx – Over the Top
  • Lagwagon – Rock ‘n’ Roll
  • FEAR – The Chase Is Better Than The Catch
  • GBH – Bomber
  • Murphy’s Law – Stay Clean
  • Slaughterhouse – Love Me Like A Reptile
  • The Casualties – The Hammer
  • Anti-Nowhere League – Born to Raise Hell
  • Love Canal – Voices in the Sky
  • Soldiers of Destruction – Overkill
  • Wisdom In Chains – Iron Fist
  • Motörhead and The Damned – Neat, Neat, Neat

A statement from the band reads: “In celebration of Motörhead’s 50th anniversary in 2025, a collection of punk royalty unite to honour the loudest band on Earth with a new tribute album: Killed By Deaf: A Punk Tribute to Motörhead. Fueled by raw power and deep reverence, this tribute captures the spirit of a band whose influence still rattles stages and speakers worldwide.

“This version of Neat, Neat, Neat was recorded by The Damned and Motörhead in 2002.” Lead single Neat, Neat, Neat marks a nice touch from The Damned, who once had Lemmy as a member when they were performing under the name The Doomed.

The version of Neat, Neat, Neat premiered earlier today (September 10) and features vocal work by Lemmy. Fans are thrilled by the overlap between the two legendary bands, with one person calling it an “oh so sweet” crossover.

They wrote: “Motorhead and the Damned?! That was Neat Neat Neat and oh so sweet.” Another added: “Motordam was a nice little side project for everyone.” A third shared: “The Damned and Lemmy recorded a version of Neat Neat Neat around the time they supported Motörhead with Vanian and Lemmy alternating the vocals rumoured at the time of recording.”

Fans are still holding out hope for other materials from the archives. One person hoped for further tracks by The Damned and Lemmy, writing: “How about those old The Damned and Lemmy tracks re-releasing, or is this in reference to such an happening?”

The newly released version of Neat, Neat, Neat, can be found below.
