A post from Øyafestivalen has confirmed Cave’s headline slot. Their announcement reads: “Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds at the Island, Thursday 13. Nick Cave, along with the Bad Seeds, have played on the biggest stages for decades. This is a gang that really ages with style, and delivers intense concert experiences.
“Their previous visit to Tøyenparken in 2022 has been described by many as the Island concert of all time. Then they helped sell out their day many months before the festival, so now it is important to decide quickly. Tickets can be found at Øya.no”
It comes as The Cure were confirmed as the first headliners of the festival, which will take place in August next year. An announcement from the festival reads: “First release and headlining the Island 2026! This summer, The Cure will once again show why they are one of the world’s best concert attractions, with a full set of good songs.” The band had previously played Øyafestivalen in 2019.”
