Neil Young has confirmed his latest tour, Love Earth, will be turned into a live album.
While the Harvest Moon hitmaker offered little in the way of details, he did confirm in a post to the Neil Young Archives that he and Lou Adler were working on a new release. Young says the album will comprise live recordings from the Love Earth tour, which has seen the veteran performer play at Glastonbury Festival, BST Hyde Park, and the Hollywood Bowl in California. Little detail of which songs will feature on the record, or when it will be released, is available. But given how productive Young has been of late in releasing new studio work, archival tapes, and live albums, fans may not have all that long to wait.
Young wrote on the Neil Young Archives: “Lou Adler and myself are creating a live record. The Love Earth Tour. Thanks for all your love and support. Daryl and I and the Chrome Hearts – we all appreciate you!” Though there is little detail available on the record, fans are looking forward to hearing what a live Love Earth album may sound like.
A disappointed fan who wrote into the Neil Young Archives shared their sadness at not hearing Young play Fuckin’ Up at a recent show. A performance at the Huntington Bank Pavilion in Chicago may be the offending gig, with the fan stunned to see the song had been dropped from the setlist that night.
They wrote: “I am very sad that at your Chicago August 27 show you did not play Fuckin’ Up, it is my favourite song. August 28 is my birthday, and I was hoping for an early birthday present. It was also my partner’s first time getting the opportunity to see you live, and we were really excited to hear that song. You played it many times this tour. Please play this song in the future. Thank you.”
Young replied: “Looks like I fucked up! Love. Be well. Neil.” A setlist for the Chicago show, free of Fuckin’ Up, can be found below.

Young has been touring his 2025 album, Talkin’ to the Trees, over the last few months. A new song, Big Crime, also debuted at the Chicago show. In a four-star review of the song, Cult Following described it as “a return to rocking form for Young, whose most recent efforts have been protest-worthy but coy in their creation
