Clothing donations wanted for Twin Peaks cast member Carel Struycken after California fire destroyed home

A call for clothing donations for Carel Struycken, The Addams Family and Twin Peaks actor, has been made after he lost his home to the California wildfires.

Andrea Watrouse’s post to Twitter confirmed Struycken, 76, was in need of new clothing as the fires which destroyed his home in Altadena had also destroyed his clothes, which are custom ordered. Struycken, who is 7ft tall, has often ordered clothes to be specially made to his height. The veteran actor is in need of clothing donations as the wedding of his son is this March, Watrouse explained.

Her post reads: “Looking for clothing donations for @carelstruycken. He lost his home in Altadena during the fires. Carel is 7ft tall and has always had to custom order his clothes. His measurements are 37” inseam, 42” waist, XXL Tall shirts, 40” sleeves, and size 19 shoes.

“His son is getting married in March and he can’t get anything made in time. So if anyone can donate something formal it would be greatly appreciated! He is also in need of daily wear clothes to live and run errands in.” A fundraiser for Struycken and his wife, Tracey, was established earlier this month and has since raised $61,159.

Fundraiser organiser Michael Anspach wrote: “On the evening of Tuesday, January 7, 2025, my in-laws looked outside to see flames coming over the ridge near their Altadena, CA home. They quickly grabbed a few essential items and fled. The following day, their fears were confirmed: their home of 12+ years had been destroyed by the Eaton Fire.

“Many of you know my father-in-law, Carel, from his acting roles in Twin Peaks, The Addams Family, Star Trek: TNG, Men In Black, and many other titles. He’s also a skilled photographer and digital image editor. My mother-in-law, Tracey, is a dedicated family medicine doctor who works extremely hard. She’s a model mom and grandmother.

“We’re so very thankful they were able to safely escape the oncoming blaze, but like so many others, they lost everything to the Eaton Fire. Please keep Carel, Tracey, and all those affected by the fires in your thoughts and prayers. All funds will be used by Carel & Tracey as they seek to recover from this tragedy and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.”
An update made today (January 21) confirmed Carel and Tracey were allowed to visit what remains of their home, which was badly affected by the fires.
