Bruce Springsteen ‘does not rest’ as fans hail fourth performance in just two weeks

Fans of the legendary songwriter Bruce Springsteen are stunned at the musician’s endurance as he performs his fourth show in just two weeks.

The Boss has only just finished the North American leg of his Land of Hope and Dreams tour with The E Street Band. After two months on the road, playing hits from his discography as well as protest song Streets of Minneapolis and a cover of Bob Dylan‘s Chimes of Freedom, Springsteen took to the stage for two more shows. Though the Music America: The Songs That Shaped Us shows were far shorter than the Land of Hope and Dreams tours, Springsteen still showed up and performed a series of covers across two nights. Those two dates took place just a week after the last two shows of the Land of Hope and Dreams tour, with dates in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia marking the final two shows of the tour.

A performance of the classic protest song, This Land is Your Land, had fans wondering how Springsteen has the endurance for four shows in two weeks. Footage of the show, shared to the r/BruceSpringsteen subreddit, had viewers hail The Boss for his seemingly endless well of energy.

One fan wrote: “I do not know how this man does it. I saw him twice last week in DC and Philly, and I am SUFFERING this week for real. I was like, ‘Okay good, these guys can all go rest for a bit now’, but nope, not Bruce. He does not rest.”

Another added: “His energy and endurance are amazing! I saw the LA show, which was phenomenal. My muscles were sore the next day.” Others were surprised to see Springsteen performing with Kenny Chesney, but were delighted to hear the My Wildest Dreams hitmaker join up with The Boss.

One fan noted the pair’s mutual respect, with Chesney often covering Springsteen’s songs. The fan wrote: “Kenny and Bruce have been friends for a long time. Kenny has covered I’m on Fire and One Step Up on albums. He also performed One Step Up when Bruce was the MusiCares Person of the Year.

“He mentioned Bruce specifically in the movie that he made years ago and talked about how Bruce changed his approach to touring. And he did a fan club show at the Stone Pony, covered One Step Up, and had a message for Bruce. The song was on his Live From No Shoes Nation album.”

Another joked: “Well that’s a pairing I never would have considered. Did The Boss take a turn singing She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy?” A third wrote: “Well this kinda changes my perspective on Kenny Chesney. I’ll give him another listen.”

Springsteen’s only remaining concert for 2026 is an appearance at the Power to the People festival. Whether he tours again, be it as a solo artist or with The E Street Band, is currently unknown.
