Kanye West’s first show in the United States did not get off to the greatest start, with a major blunder made by the production team.
West, otherwise known as Ye, will perform across the US this year and has scheduled three dates headlining Wireless Festival 2026 in London, England. The move has been marked by controversy, given West’s previous antisemitic statements, but the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy mastermind is pushing on with a tour nonetheless, to promote his new album, Bully. West was hit with problems early in the show too, repeating the performance of Can’t Tell Me Nothing after fans were unable to sing along the first time.
According to Setlist.FM, West was forced to restart Good Life three times due to lighting issues at the show. North West also made an appearance to perform two songs with the Graduation hitmaker.

West will return to the UK this June for three performances in London, his first in the UK in a decade. The last time West performed in the UK was at Glastonbury 2015. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has said: “The past comments and actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and are simply not reflective of London’s values.”
Last year, West released a song glorifying Adolf Hitler and was subsequently blocked from entering Australia. The All of the Lights hitmaker is no stranger to controversy, having been dropped by sports brand Adidas in 2022 over West’s antisemitic comments.
West would take out a full-page advert in the Wall Street Journal to apologise in a letter titled To Those I’ve Hurt in January 2026. It, in part, reads: “One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments – many of which I still cannot recall – that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body-experience.
“I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though.” West alleged he was diagnosed in 2023, with the condition traced back to a car accident in 2002, The Guardian reported.
