Pixies has confirmed a series of tour dates celebrating the band’s fortieth anniversary will take place next year.
The Black Francis-fronted group will tour across the world, including a show at York Barbican and London’s Royal Albert Hall. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 26. Pixies‘ tour will see them play a series of shows across Europe, following a massive tour of the UK, Europe, and the United States earlier this year. The band released their tenth studio album, The Night the Zomibes Came, last year. Founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering will be joined by new bassist Emma Richardson as they tour across the UK, Ireland, Italy, and Germany. This tour will also include the band’s first-ever performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
A statement from the band, posted to their Instagram, reads: “P40. Celebrating 40 Years of PIXIES. 2026 marks the 40th year of the bands formation. In celebration we’re pleased to announce that we’re heading back on the road. Announcing the first of many tour dates for next year. The band’s performance at the O2 Academy in Leeds earlier this year received a five-star review from Cult Following, with the set a magnificent example of Pixies’ longevity on-stage. The review reads: “Those who may find themselves on the fence about contemporary music from Pixies will no doubt be won over by hearing it performed live. Either that, or they will be shoved over the balcony to join the riotously fun-looking mosh below.”
