What Bob Dylan played at Outlaw Music Festival date in Camden, New Jersey

Bob Dylan’s Outlaw Music Festival setlist from a show in Camden, New Jersey, will be no surprise to dedicated fans.

It seems the songwriter is set to play a similar show for the remaining dates on the Outlaw Music Festival tour, which will wrap up later this month. Dylan has just four more shows left on the tour with Willie Nelson, before he returns to Europe to continue the Rough and Rowdy Ways show. The show in Camden, New Jersey, featured songs from Time Out of Mind, Another Side of Bob Dylan, and four covers which have become staples of Dylan’s tour this year. There is still a chance Dylan shakes up his set for a final time ahead of his return to Europe, where he will be performing in Finland, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

A seventeen-song set has seen Gotta Serve Somebody from his Slow Train Coming dropped in favour of Early Roman Kings. The Tempest track is seemingly a favourite of Dylan on stage, who has started using Masters of War as his set opener. A full setlist from the Camden, New Jersey date can be found below.

  • Masters of War
  • I Can Tell (Bo Diddley cover)
  • Forgetful Heart
  • Axe and the Wind (George Butler cover)
  • To Ramona
  • Early Roman Kings
  • Under the Red Sky
  • I’ll Make It All Up to You (Charlie Rich cover)
  • All Along the Watchtower
  • ‘Til I Fell in Love With You
  • Desolation Row
  • Love Sick
  • Share Your Love With Me
  • Blind Willie McTell
  • Soon After Midnight
  • Highway 61 Revisited
  • Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right

Dylan has just four shows left on the Outlaw Music Festival tour, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary. The shows have given Dylan the chance to play some of his biggest hits, with songs like Mr. Tambourine Man and Positively 4th Street featuring.

Masters of War also made a return to the stage for the first time in nine years and has remained a setlist opener for the veteran songwriter. Masters of War served as the opening song to Dylan’s Outlaw Music Festival tour slot at the Darien Centre in New York.

The rest of the setlist remains relatively similar to previous performances, though Dylan has been slowly changing a handful of songs. The veteran songwriter has played several of his biggest and best songs on this tour, with some being performed for the first time in over a decade.

Masters of War featured as the first song of the night, replacing the equally rare Positively 4th Street, a song Dylan had only performed five times in fifteen years before its return to the setlist. Positively 4th Street also featured in the setlist in Buffalo.

Dylan will perform in Holmdel, New Jersey, tonight (September 13), and has another performance scheduled for Columbia, Maryland, on September 14.
