The final shows of legendary band Electric Light Orchestra are set to take place this month following a series of United States tour dates.
The Over and Out tour was confirmed by frontman Jeff Lynne as the final performances of the Evil Woman and Mr. Blue Sky hitmakers. Their final performance at Hyde Park will take place on Sunday, July 14, and is believed to be the final time Lynne will take to the stage. It is not a retirement from making music, though, as Lynne confirmed he will remain active in the studio. It is not yet known in what capacity or whether there will be further new material from ELO. The band performed a string of concert dates across the US late last year, with the final show performed on October 29 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
A setlist for the show was relatively typical of the performances found across the rest of the tour. Whether any changes are made for the UK dates is yet to be seen, though some are hopeful of hearing a few deep cuts or music from Lynne’s other projects. A setlist for the Phoenix date can be found below.

The performance received high praise from attendees at the time, with one show on the tour hailed as the “best” performance Lynne and the band had ever given. The Phoenix show above was praised by r/ELO subreddit users, who said the band were in tight form ahead of their UK dates.
One user wrote: “Fantastic show! Was worth waiting for! I wish only blessings for Jeff Lynne.” Another added: “What a great show it was tonight!” Fellow concert-goers have since weighed in with their experiences of tour dates prior to the Phoenix show, with one fan who attended ELO’s Los Angeles gig saying they may go to Europe to relive the show.
“Glad you had fun,” they wrote. “It definitely was one of the best concerts I went to when I saw them in LA and I now have that itch to go see them in Europe cause they were so damn good.”
Those waiting to catch Electric Light Orchestra at one of their Birmingham, Manchester or London shows have plenty to look forward to according to those who were present for Lynne’s gigs in the United States. One wrote: “The Dallas show was phenomenal! 20,000+ ecstatic fans singing their hearts out. I still have the songs stuck in my head.”
Another fan revealed they were left with tears in their eyes too and moved by the presence of the Mr. Blue Sky hitmakers, revealing: “I may have had a tear or two in my eyes also….. Don’t Bring Me Down was awesome when the whole place was singing loudly and dancing away.”
