Gorillaz debut Humanz track during Italy headline slot ahead of further European festival dates

Gorillaz performed a Humanz track for the first time on their The Mountain tour during a show in Italy. The Damon Albarn-fronted group has been touring across Europe following a sensational set of performances in the UK and Ireland. Gorillaz will perform a handful of European tour dates next month but are finished for July following their performance at the Piazza Unità d’Italia in Trieste, Italy.

Their 24-song set featured the Humanz deep cut Strobelite, as well as further discography deep cuts like She’s My Collar and Superfast Jellyfish. Gorillaz will next perform on August 13 in Poland, and will follow their final European shows up with a tour of the United States. The band will go on to perform two shows in India at the start of 2027.

According to Setlist.FM, the performance of Plastic Beach was abandoned halfway through due to technical difficulties. Gorillaz performed a massive 30-song set at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this year, bringing out special guests Johnny Greenwood, Shaun Ryder, and Little Simz for the show.

Songs from Plastic Beach and Demon Days were debuted for the first time on this tour, with Ryder’s guestlist spot confirming to fans before the show that Gorillaz would perform Dare. The hit song did feature in the encore of the show, which also made room for the Marr and Paul Simonon-featuring Plastic Beach.
