Rod Stewart was seen “doubling over in discomfort” at a show in Utah where the Faces frontman required the use of an oxygen mask.
Gig-goers were concerned for the wellbeing of the 81-year-old hitmaker, who had cancelled a show earlier this month over a laryngitis diagnosis. Just six days later, the veteran performer is back on stage, though not in the best shape. Footage shared by TMZ saw Stewart doubled over at the back of the stage. He can then be seen wandering to the side of the stage where a person brings out an oxygen tank for the Do Ya Think I’m Sexy songwriter. Stewart still performed a 23-song set for the crowd at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City. Concerned attendees took to X later that night to share their thoughts on Stewart’s use of an oxygen tank and worries for his health.
One person wrote: “Rod Stewart had a rough show in Utah last night… doubling over in discomfort during the set and needing an oxygen tank onstage. At Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, last night he wasn’t moving around stage like usual, took oxygen and politicised the show!”
Despite the difficulty breathing at the high altitude venue, Stewart managed to push through a 23-song setlist featuring Faces hits, solo classics, and a selection of covers. A full setlist for Stewart’s show at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre can be found below.

Stewart had previously cancelled a June 12 concert at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista in California because of a laryngitis diagnosis. The rocker was later spotted attending Scotland’s first World Cup fixture against Haiti, which they won 1-0.
A statement posted to his official Instagram account at the time read: “Rod Stewart very regretfully has had to cancel his show tonight in Chula Vista, California. He travelled to the venue and made every effort to perform, but on the advice of his doctors and following a diagnosis of an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis, he is unable to take to the stage this evening.”
