The Rolling Stones fans predict setlist for Ronnie Wood’s ‘expensive’ solo tour

Fans of the legendary rock band The Rolling Stones believe they have figured out the setlist to Ronnie Wood‘s upcoming solo tour.

The veteran guitarist will be on the road later this year following confirmation that the Mick Jagger-fronted band would not be touring. The Rolling Stones are alleged to have scrapped a tour in both 2024 and 2025, with no plans made for a run of gigs in 2026 despite the band announcing their new album, Foreign Tongues. While the band may be on the road in 2027, the lack of touring this year means Wood can tour as a solo artist.

The show stunned fans not because Wood is bringing his band and Imelda May on tour, but because of the price. Current ticket prices for the show at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London, see a standing ticket at £145.90, and unreserved balcony seats at £199.80.

Fans were not pleased with the ticket prices but believe they have figured out what Wood will be performing on his tour. Fans took to the r/RollingStones subreddit to share their thoughts. One person wrote: “I just saw that Ronnie Wood will be in my town in the fall, solo. The price of tickets is quite expensive. I hesitate to go there… do we know what to expect [from the] setlist? I guess no Rolling Stones at all.”

Another fan replied: “Likely to be stuff from his solo albums, I presume, most of which is likely to come from the recent anthology. Much as I love The Rolling Stones, Ronnie’s solo work is pretty average in my opinion and I would not fork out for a ticket at the prices. The songs he gets credit for with The Rolling Stones are hardly well-known.

A third added: “He apparently co-wrote It’s Only Rock and Roll and I Can Feel the Fire (the latter from his first solo album) with Jagger. They agreed to keep ownership of one each. Of course, in The Rolling Stones, all the songs are Jagger-Richards, but I think they have frequently acknowledged Wood’s contribution (just not financially). But I agree Wood’s solo stuff is lacklustre. But he did co-write all the Faces hits with Rod Stewart.”

Other fans of Wood and The Rolling Stones believe that, irrespective of the setlist, the price of admission is “crazy”. One person wrote: “Yeah, crazy prices… guess he’s taking advantage of the fact The Rolling Stones are not touring.

“It worked for the two Amsterdam shows where The Rolling Stones fans from everywhere grabbed tickets, but the well seems to have now run dry, and the shows that have been added since are still available. Koln, Kentish Town, Barcelona or Paris.”
