Bob Dylan tour praised by fans singling out one Spring 2026 date as ‘the best’ so far

Bob Dylan fans believe the best show on the Spring 2026 tour has already been held.

The veteran performer, 84, will take to the DeVos Performance Hall stage in Grand Rapids, Michigan, later tonight (April 2). Dylan, whose Spring 2026 tour replaced the five-year-long Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, performed what fans believe to be his best show of the tour on March 31. The Emens Auditorium performance has been widely praised by attendees, who took to the r/BobDylan subreddit to share their thoughts on the tour so far. Dylan has made just one change to the setlist on this tour, dropping Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right after the first performance. It has yet to be performed again.

But those in attendance for the Emens Auditorium show in Munice, Indianapolis, hailed Dylan and the band for putting on one of the best shows the tour may ever see.

A full setlist for the show can be found below.

  • To Be Alone With You
  • Man in the Long Black Coat
  • All Along the Watchtower
  • I Contain Multitudes
  • False Prophet
  • Black Rider
  • Love Sick
  • Goodbye Jimmy Reed
  • I Can Tell (Bo Diddley cover)
  • I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You
  • Crossing the Rubicon
  • When I Paint My Masterpiece
  • Forgetful Heart
  • Soon After Midnight
  • Nervous Breakdown (Eddie Cochran cover)
  • Every Grain of Sand

Attendees of the Emens Auditorium show were full of praise for Dylan. One fan wrote: “I have seen Bob Dylan a few times, but this was definitely the best show I’ve been to. I was only a few feet from the stage. He seemed so happy and really engaged with the music; it was amazing! Who else is enjoying the tour?”

One attendee replied: “I was in the front row, such a great performance!” Another added: “It was an amazing show. The crowd was great and had an amazing energy. Bob was great as always, and loved the new arrangements of the Rough and Rowdy Ways songs. I saw him at Elliot Hall sometime last year, and that was almost like a darker atmosphere, but with these new arrangements, they felt a lot lighter and carried the words he’s written in a much different way. Overall, an amazing show!”

A third person asked whether Dylan had been picked up by the microphone, with some fans previously citing difficulties hearing the veteran musician at work. The original poster replied: “Yes! The bottom mic wasn’t really picking him up as well, so he stood for a lot of the concert and really got into the harmonica on Every Grain of Sand.”
