What Radiohead performed on final Italian show of the year as band prepares for UK homecoming

The final of four shows in Italy from Radiohead saw the band perform some of their all-time great songs ahead of four more shows in England.

The Thom Yorke-fronted group will return to London, England, for four shows at The O2, with fans bracing themselves for what could be a very different setlist compared to previous nights. Radiohead confirmed they had rehearsed several songs before getting back on stage earlier this year, and have made good on their practice with an overhaul of their setlist from show to show. A fourth and final show at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy, had the band perform the likes of Nude, The Bends, and Exit Music (for a Film) in a massive twenty-five song show. Those wondering whether the band will play further shows were told there are “no extra dates” in the works but there may be more to follow. The band added: “There will be no extra dates announced. These are the only shows that Radiohead will be playing for now. The band hope to do more shows elsewhere in the future.” A full list of shows for the Radiohead tour can be found below.

  • November 4, 5, 7, 8, – Movistar Arena, Madrid, Spain

In a statement to fans, drummer Philip Selway shared further details. He said: “Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it. After a seven-year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.

“It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.” It’s a hugely different set from the one Radiohead played in their previous show seven years ago.

The set was filled with hits from the band’s discography, as well as a few rarities and even their rejected James Bond theme song, Spectre. It was a set which provided the Wells Fargo Centre crowd in Philadelphia with two encores and a selection of greatest hits from the band. The setlist below was performed on the second night of a two-date stop off at the Wells Fargo Centre.
