What Radiohead performed during second of four Movistar Arena shows during comeback tour

Radiohead’s comeback tour continues with their second of four Movistar Arena shows, seeing a massively changed setlist.

The Thom Yorke-fronted band had previously confirmed rehearsing more than sixty songs from their discography for this tour, and it appears to be paying off already. The Bends and Hail to the Thief were heavily featured in their second of four shows in Madrid, Spain, with some songs performed for the first time since 2009. The likes of Jigsaw Falling Into Place and (Nice Dream) made their debut on stage for the first time in over a decade, while fan favourites Pyramid Song and Airbag were given their tour debuts. Radiohead will perform two more shows in Madrid later this month, along with dates in Italy, England, and Germany in the weeks to come.

Those wondering whether the band will play further shows were told there are “no extra dates” in the works but there may be more to follow. The band added: “There will be no extra dates announced. These are the only shows that Radiohead will be playing for now. The band hope to do more shows elsewhere in the future.” A full list of shows for the Radiohead tour can be found below.

In a statement to fans, drummer Philip Selway shared further details. He said: “Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it. After a seven-year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.

“It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.” It’s a hugely different set to the one Radiohead played in their previous show seven years ago.

The set was filled with hits from the band’s discography, as well as a few rarities and even their rejected James Bond theme song, Spectre. It was a set which provided the Wells Fargo Centre crowd in Philadelphia with two encores and a selection of greatest hits from the band. The setlist below was performed on the second night of a two-date stop off at the Wells Fargo Centre.
