Rock legend Slash has confirmed the release of a new live album, Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, for a November release.
The Guns ‘n’ Roses guitarist has released lead single, Oh Well, to promote the live album, which releases on November 7. The Grammy-winning songwriter confirmed the news of a new album release earlier today. Slash‘s performance from July 17, 2024, will be released as a live package featuring the likes of Killing Floor, Born Under a Bad Sign, and a cover of Bob Dylan’s It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry. Lead single Oh Well is out now and fans have already declared it an “awesome” new release from the guitarist. Slash performed at the festival with his Blues Ball band, with their “gritty” set paying tribute to the all-time greats of rock and blues music.
A statement featured with the release of the song reads: “With Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, Slash brings his love of the blues, his musical roots, to the fore. A full-throttle live album and concert film capturing his electrifying July 17, 2024 performance at the Mission Ballroom, Colorado.
“Touring as part of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, Slash and the formidable ensemble known as Slash’s Blues Ball deliver a gritty, soulful set paying homage to the legends who shaped rock and blues.” A full tracklist for the album release can be found below.

The album will be released in CD and vinyl formats, with a full concert film featuring behind the scenes documentary segments set for a DVD and Blu-Ray release. A press release from the team behind Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival confirmed there would be candid footage of Slash discussing his career, interspersed with live renditions of hit songs from Jimi Hendrix, The Tempations, and Fleetwood Mac.
The inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T Festival featured an all-star Blues lineup handpicked by Slash and celebrated the release of the iconic guitarist and songwriter’s critically acclaimed sixth solo album, Orgy of the Damned.
SLASH’s star-studded Blues album Orgy of the Damned spent 13 weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart, and after 69 weeks still remains in the top fifty. Over 23 tour dates in the summer of 2024, Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival raised more than $125,000 for five nonprofit organisations chosen by Slash, benefitting mental health, socio-economic equality and justice, and uplifting the lives of underserved Americans.
