Bob Dylan made a handful of changes to his Outlaw Music Festival show for the date in Columbia, Maryland.
That is according to Setlist.FM, the setlist aggregation site where users can submit setlists of shows. The veteran songwriter allegedly switched out three of the four cover songs he had been consistently playing on the tour with Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow. Dylan, who has maintained Masters of War as his opening song for the last few shows on the Outlaw Music Festival tour, switched out three songs last night. Checking with Dylan setlist expert BobLinks shows a very different setlist from the one featured on SetlistFM, and identical to the previous night in Holmdel, New Jersey. No attendees on social media sites like Twitter or Reddit have noted the changes seen on SetlistFM, which claims Dylan performed Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter from Camp) by Allan Sherman.
Humorous that may be to imagine, Dylan did not perform the Sherman song. Nor did he perform a cover of I Know (You Don’t Love Me No More) by Barbara George. His sixth song, listed as unknown on SetlistFM, is likely Early Roman Kings. A setlist featured on SetlistFM can be found below.
- Masters of War
- I Know (You Don’t Love Me No More) (Barbara George cover)
- To Ramona
- Under the Red Sky
- Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh! (A Letter from Camp) (Allan Sherman cover)
- Unknown
- All Along the Watchtower
- ‘Til I Fell in Love With You
- Desolation Row
- Love Sick
- Share Your Love With Me (Bobby Bland cover)
- Blind Willie McTell
- Soon After Midnight
- Highway 61 Revisited
- Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right
Though the setlist follows the outline of most Outlaw Music Festival shows, some of its inclusions are about as likely as Ray Padgett’s Early Roman Kings-heavy mock-ups seen on the Flagging Down the Double E’s Twitter page. A setlist, likely to be real given its similarities to the setlists from the last few shows, can be found below.
- Masters of War
- I Can Tell (Samuel Smith cover)
- Forgetful Heart
- Axe and the Wind (George Butler cover)
- To Ramona
- Early Roman Kings
- Under the Red Sky
- I’ll Make It All Up To You (Charlie Rich cover)
- All Along the Watchtower
- ‘Til I Fell in Love With You
- Desolation Row
- Love Sick
- Share Your Love With Me (Alfred Braggs and Deadric Malone cover)
- Blind Willie McTell
- Soon After Midnight
- Highway 61 Revisited
- Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right
Dylan has just two dates left on the Outlaw Music Festival, with shows scheduled for September 18, and September 19. He will then begin a series of shows taking place across Europe, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. It is believed a new entry into The Bootleg Series will be announced in the coming days.
