Metallica has announced a world tour which will see them play two nights at London Stadium next year.
The M72 World Tour was confirmed by the group earlier today, with general sale for tickets beginning on May 30, local time. The M72 tour has been ongoing since April 2023, with the group performing the first show of the tour in Amsterdam. Two shows announced by the band for London Stadium will have two different setlists, continuing the “No Repeat Weekend” tradition the band has stuck to since the start of this tour. Gojira, Pantera, Knocked Loose, and Avatar are set to support the band on various dates across the tour. All four acts will support Metallica during their London Stadium shows, with two per night. Gojira and Knocked Loose will open for the Thursday show, while Pantera and Avatar will open on the Saturday. A full tour schedule for 2026 can be found below.

A portion of ticket proceeds will go to local charities via the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. The charity was established in 2017 and has since raised over $20million, with $11.4million in grants given to career and technical education programs. A further $7.4million has been used to combat food insecurity, while $4.7million has gone to disaster relief efforts.
The band are currently on tour in the United States, with their most recent show on May 11 seeing them play a series of hits and contemporary material. Metallica will take to the stage of Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on May 23. A setlist for their most recent show, the Sonic Temple 2025 performance, can be found below.
