Pink Floyd fans have pointed to one of their many “underrated” songs and shared their love for it and the album it comes from.
Obscured by Clouds may be one of the lesser-known albums in the band’s discography but has received plenty of praise from dedicated fans of the band. One user taking to r/PinkFloyd has suggested Wot’s Uh The Deal could be one of the most underrated songs in the band’s discography. They wrote: “What do you consider to be Pink Floyd’s most underrated song? I’d probably go with Wot’s Uh The Deal.” Other users say the Obscured by Clouds track is “definitely up there” with some of the band’s most underrated songs.
They wrote: “That’s definitely up there, A Pillow of Winds does something to me also.” Another user replied: “Nothing better than gentle Floyd.” A separate suggestion tipped Fat Old Sun from Atom Heart Mother as an underrated classic of the Pink Floyd discography.
One user wrote: “I saw Gilmour for the On an Island tour. I was over the moon that he played Fat Old Sun! Still my #1 concert I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of shows haha.” Another added: “It’s in my top five for sure. It was an astounding show in LA too. People around me were screaming, ‘I can’t believe I’m here!’ The crowd was even kinda rowdy, and the moment Rick hit the ping at the beginning of Echoes, about half the crowd lit up their joints.”
A third praised the song and wrote of how thankful they were to see it included in the underrated discussion. They wrote: “I came here because I had the awful feeling that even with 98 comments, no one would have mentioned this masterpiece. It’s basically my favourite Pink Floyd song, and I’m so glad to see it getting some love here!”

Praise for Wot’s Uh The Deal continued in the comments, with some calling it a song which “makes the album stronger”. Another added: “This was my favourite song of all time for a couple of years.” A third wrote: “When asked, I will tell you that this is my favourite song nine times out of ten.”
Others have said the entirety of Obscured by Clouds is underrated by fans. They suggested: “Entire Obscured by Clouds album is underrated. Country influence, heavy on acoustic guitar, some steel guitar, and synthesizer. To me, this is a natural gateway influence to The Dark Side of the Moon album.”
Another replied: “You aren’t wrong. It’s one of those albums which is noteworthy by what follows it. Obscured By Clouds was a soundtrack they did for a film while they were developing The Dark Side of the Moon. It makes sense that undeveloped concepts from The Dark Side of the Moon made it into Obscured by Clouds.”
