Sloppy Jane announces ‘surreal kaleidoscope’ visualisation of studio album Madison

Sloppy Jane lead Haley Dahl has announced a visual experience for their 2021 album, Madison.

An in-person premiere is planned as well as a later digital release, which will bring to life the tracks from their second studio album.

Madison mastermind Haley Dahl released a statement confirming the news of a digital and in-person screening of the album’s visualisation.

She wrote: “From Madison’s earliest conception, director Mika Lungulov-Klotz and I dreamed of collaborating on a visual component to carry the listener through the album in its entirety.

“This visual narrative been shot, edited, and archived over years – some videos were even made at the same time as the album was being recorded in 2019.

“This series of interconnected music videos is a surreal kaleidoscope of the Sloppy Jane cinematic universe, set in a world where everything that has ever happened is happening forever, and everyone gets to play every part.

“Pay attention to the outfits, the fingernails, and the colour blue.”

Tickets for Sloppy Jane’s visualisation of Madison are available through this link.

Attendees of the May 19 event at the Spectacle Theatre in Brooklyn, New York City, can expect a full run-through of the visualisation as well as a Q+A session with Lungulov-Klots and Dahl.

A digital screening is set to release at 12pm EST / 4pm GMT on Sloppy Jane’s YouTube channel on May 22.

In preparation for the screening, Dahl tweeted: “Recommended that you watch all the willow videos in order before watching this. A lot of easter eggs.”
